The loan spell for right back Todd Kane has come to an end, and the youngster has returned to Chelsea, according to the BBC.
Preston have confirmed on loan duo Todd Kane and Anthony Elding have both returned to their parent clubs.

Kane didn't earn a regular starting role in his time at Preston North End, but he did manage to log quite a few minutes during the congested part of the schedule. Kane made three League One starts, totaling 236 minutes in that competition, and also started a pair of cup ties, totaling 135 more minutes of action. All in all, it's not a bad first loan for an 19-year old with no senior appearances to his name.
Chelsea should probably spend some time and find a loan home for Kane where he'll continue to see minutes throughout the spring. The U21 side will not be playing in the to bracket in the coming months, and he's not going to get an awful lot out of a handful of NextGen games. Professional competition is probably best for his development, so hopefully Chelsea manage to find that for him. For the moment though, Kane will be training at Cobham with the U21 side.
