Swansea City vs. Chelsea, Capital One Cup: Lineups & Game Thread

Full strength teams on display in snowy Wales.

Snow globe.
Snow globe.
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

It's a bit of a snow globe at the Liberty tonight, but the match will go ahead anyway. The pitch conditions are alright - modern facility with undersoil heating and all - but actually getting there apparently has been and will be a treacherous adventure. Just another reason why many may choose to stay away from a match of dubious importance.

But many of you truly care and there's always a chance of something exciting, I suppose. Plus, I need something to keep my traditional Wednesday Freebirds cayenne burrito (carnitas) lunch company. So here we go. Also going on tonight is Arsenal's make-up game vs. West Ham, so keep half an eye on that in case of extra LOLs.

BeIN Sports' twitter has promised a live stream for this match, with links to be provided 5-10 minutes before match start. I'm assuming this will be USA only, so sorry Canada, sucks to be you.

Swansea City starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Gerhard Tremmel | Ben Davies, Chico, Ashley Williams, Angel Rangel | Jonathan de Guzman, Leon Britton | Wayne Routledge, Ki Sung-Yueng, Pablo Hernandez | Michu

Substitutes from: Michel Vorm, Dwight Tiendalli, Roland Lamah, Nathan Dyer, Adam Shechter, Danny Graham

Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Petr Cech | Ashley Cole, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta | Frank Lampard, Ramires | Oscar, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard | Demba Ba

Substitutes from: Ross Turnbull, Paulo Ferreira, Ryan Bertrand, David Luiz, John Terry, Marko Marin, Fernando Torres

So, a full strength Chelsea lineup (unchanged from Arsenal except for Ba), just to maximize the chances for crucial injuries. David Luiz must still be mysteriously bothered by the mystery foot injury as he starts on the bench, alongside John Terry, Messi, and Torres.
