This is news, although nothing to worry about for the moment. Chelsea and England left back Ashley Cole will apparently be missing Friday's World Cup qualifier against Moldova with a 'minor' ankle injury. The Three Lions, you'd hope, will not be desperately in need of his services for the match in Chisinau, but with Leighton Baines and Ryan Bertrand there's plenty of backup anyway.
Apparently this injury is so minor that Cole is to be re-assessed on Sunday to see whether or not he'll be fit for the rather more important game against Ukraine this Tuesday. Hopefully the answer will be yes, but if not he'll have had a long international break to recover from the ankle problem. I wouldn't be too worried about the impact on Chelsea's season just yet.
