Remember when we tried to sign Luka Modric last summer (I bet you do!)? Remember how they didn't sell and everyone was praising Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy for being such a tough negotiator? Remember how we had the sneaking suspicion he was also a bit of a prat? Here's Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirming that him a bit of a prat in response to the continued Hugo Lloris sage:
We have had people speaking all night with Daniel Levy. He talks a lot and goes back on what we've agreed in writing.
The things as they were at 5am were not the same at 10am. I would put it at 50-50 that Hugo goes to Tottenham. Agreements have not at all been respected. We've done what we can.
The negotiation with the Tottenham directors has been the hardest I have ever had to undergo in 25 years.
