Gael Kakuta is one of the Chelsea players we expect to see heading away from Stamford Bridge this season. After struggling to find the pitch in the Premier League, Kakuta had a relatively successful loan spell in Ligue 1 last season. There's been speculation that he'd be returning to Ligue 1, but reports out of France seem to suggest that he may be on his way elsewhere. Where specifically? Well why don't I leave it to one of those reports I mentioned to fill you all in:

Chelsea and Vitesse Arnhem have agreed today on a loan basis without dry option for Gael Kakuta! The French could therefore left to pack tonight towards the Netherlands.

A Vitesse loan makes an awful lot of sense from where I'm sitting. Kakuta's value is low right now, so we're not likely to get much by selling him. He's also young enough that he could still develop into a Chelsea quality player, so selling him now would seem to be a bit premature. He'll certainly get regular playing time at Vitesse, and even if he never makes the Chelsea grade, he should increase his value on the market with a good showing.

As an added bonus, many of us already watch Vitesse games anyway due to the involvement of Tomas Kalas and Patrick van Aanholt. Kakuta joining the Eredivisie side would be great news for those of us watching, as it would give us a Chelsea attacker to watch as well. I've got my fingers crossed that this report is accurate, and we'll keep you posted as we hear more.
