Tuesday open thread: League Cup and Champions League action

We've got a few games for you today, with both the return leg of the Champions League qualifiers and the first action for Premier League sides in Carling Cup action. Here's what's on tap for the Champions League (aggregate scores are in parenthesis). All games are scheduled to kick off at 19:45 BST:

Anderlecht vs. AEL Limassol (1-2)

Maribor vs Dinamo Zagreb (1-2)

Ironi Kiryat Shmona vs. BATE Bosisov (0-2)

Udinese vs. Braga (1-1)

Panathiakos vs. Malaga (0-2)

The Udinese/Braga game seems like the no-brainer for neutrals here, as it features to quality clubs that currently sit with an even scoreline. We've also got some Chelsea loanees potentially in action in the League Cup, with the following games being of not for all of us here. Again, all games are scheduled to kick off at 19:45 BST:

Notingham Forest vs. Wigan Athletic

Yeovil Town vs. West Bromwich Albion

Coventry vs. Birmingham City

Gillingham vs. Middlesbrough

Some of the lineups have dropped already, and it doesn't look like any of Romelu Lukaku, Josh McEachran, or Sam Hutchinson will be involved tonight. No word yet on the Yeovil boys, and Ben Gordon will be starting at left back for Birmingham City. It's a good sign that some of these guys are being rested for the less important fixtures, although the word is that Lukaku has a minor knock. As always, keep it clean, no links to illegal streams, and have fun.
