Report: Amin Affane loan close to completion

The loan season has gotten underway, and there are a pair of potential loanees that we're still a bit in the dark on. Gael Kakuta was often linked to the Cesar Azpilicueta deal, but Azpi is now a Chelsea player and we've not heard any movement on the Kakuta loan front. I'd imagine that we'll hear something soon, but for the moment he's still at Cobham as far as any of us know.

Amin Affane has also been rumored to be heading out on loan, with the young Swede said to be heading to Roda in the Eredivisie. There has been some news out of the Netherlands regarding that move today, and it seems to indicate that the loan has been agreed by both clubs with an announcement to come shortly.

What's interesting to see here is that this loan would seemingly give Roda the first option to purchase Affane should Chelsea decide to sell. Some might be a bit up in arms over this stipulation, but frankly it's probably not a big deal. Affane is in the last year of his contract, so this is likely just an assurance that Chelsea gave to Roda should they decide to sell in January. Either way, we'll be awaiting confirmation of the loan and wishing Affane the best in the Netherlands.
