Gael Kakuta and Amin Affane are eyeing loans

Chelsea have an awful lot of young talent, and to continue developing that talent we'll need to see them play more. That usually means spells on loan, and for 2 Chelsea youngsters it looks like they'll be heading out shortly. Gael Kakuta has been linked with a move away for a bit now, and he had the following to say today when specifically asked about Marseille:

My decision is final. This is an important time in my career. It's better for me to leave the club and find one where I could play more matches. I need to play. Marseille is a club that I like. In France, Marseille, Lyon and Lille are the three clubs I like the most. Nothing is certain yet. First Marseille must first sell and then negotiate a reasonable salary.

Kakuta is under contract until 2015, so it seems likely that he'll be heading out on loan again as opposed to making a permanent move right now. I've heard some rumblings that any loan may include an option to buy though, so it will be interesting to see exactly what develops. I don't want to speculate too much on that situation, as frankly there are just too many variables at this point.

Meanwhile, Amin Affane appears to be getting ready for his first loan spell away from the club. He's been on trial with Roda, and it appears the club are very interested in keeping himm there:

After that day we will see what the possibilities are. It seems highly likely that he will join on loan.
I'm a little surprised that we're considering sending Affane out already, as he's certainly still 1 that would develop in the U21 league. It will be fun to watch him in the Eredivisie though, so I certainly won't complain. We'll keep you informed as we hear more...
