MLS have announced the all-star team they'll be using against Chelsea for the friendly on July 25th. Here's the starting lineup they'll use:
MLS All-Star XI: Jimmy Nielsen (Sporting Kansas City), Heath Pearce (New York Red Bulls), Aurelien Collin (Sporting Kansas City), Jay DeMerit (Vancouver Whitecaps) Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes); David Beckham (LA Galaxy), Dwayne de Rosario (D.C. United), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City), Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls), Chris Wondowlowski (San Jose Earthquakes).
It'll be Chelsea's third game of the North America tour after facing the Seattle Sounders on the 18th and Paris Saint-Germain at New Yankee Stadium on the 22nd. The Blues will not be taking it particularly seriously, nor should they, but this is a pretty decent MLS side (albeit defensively weak) and should prove an interesting challenge as we prepare for next season. They'll want to beat the defending European Champions. Which is us! Yay!
