Ramires is excited for the Club World Cup

Chelsea earned their first ever trip to the FIFA Club World Cup when they won the UEFA Champions League this past May. While this tournament isn't exactly tops on most Chelsea fans' priority list, Ramires seems to be raring to go. Most odds-makers will expect to see a Corinthians/Chelsea final, and the possibility of facing the Brazilian Club is something the Ramires is looking forward to. Here's a few quotes from his interview with Globo Esporte:

Many of my friends and relatives support Corinthians, and I hope they don't have doubts about who they will support, or we will have problems. If Roberto Di Matteo asks my opinion, I can tell him what I think about them. There are some things I can say about their strengths, but I can't tell you. I will keep it as a secret so that I don't help our opponents.

I grew up seeing the effort of Brazilian clubs put into winning this competition and for me this title would be a dream come true. This is part of our football culture. I came close in 2009 but that was not possible. Now I'll do everything I can to win this title for the first time, it will be very important for my 'CV'.

Chelsea's participation in the tournament begins on December 13th in the semi-final stage, Corinthians will also begin their participation in the opposite semi-final. The blues' first opponent will be the winner of the quarter-final featuring 2 of the CAF, AFC, and Concacaf (Monterrey) representatives. Which 2 will be determined by random draw, with the 3rd club set to face the winner of the J-League champion vs Auckland City opening round contest en route to a possible semi with Corinthians. The final (and 3rd place game) will be held on December 16th.
