Chelsea have returned from their tour of the United States, so I'd expect to see some of the young players on the fringes of the first team heading out on loans very soon. Kevin De Bruyne seems like he'll be heading to Werder Bremen in the very near future, and there have been rumors this morning that Marseille have some interest in young winger/midfielder Gael Kakuta. Kakuta had the following to say:

I am flattered by Marseille's interest, but there has been nothing official, so maybe it is just paper talk, I want to play first-team football week in, week out, either at Chelsea or anywhere else.

As a destination, Marseille would make a lot of sense. Kakuta looked very good in France last season, and surrounding him with more talent than he had at Dijon can only help. There's also a certain right back at Marseille that we've been rumored to be interested in, and helping a cash strapped club add talent without purchasing can only improve our chances in that regard.

The other thing I'd take from these quotes is Kakuta's apparent willingness to go back out on loan. At the beginning of the summer he seemed to want Chelsea or a permanent move, but now he just seems to want to play. That's good, as another year on loan shouldn't do anything but increase his value and his chances of fitting into a loaded Chelsea squad. Azpilicueta or no Azpilicueta, this rumor makes enough sense that I really hope there is something to it.
