John Terry and Raul Meiereles have joined up with the Chelsea preseason tour just ahead of the Blues' friendly match against Paris Saint Germain on Sunday. It's unlikely that either will feature in the PSG match, which will be held at New Yankee Stadium, but it's not impossible to imagine an appearance for the captain or the Euro 2012 semifinalist at the MLS All-Star game in Philadelphia. Ashley Cole and Florent Malouda are in New York as well, having joined up with the initial travelling party in Seattle.

Heading back across the Atlantic are young trio Todd Kane, George Saville and Patrick Bamford. The first two featured during the opening game of the tour against the Seattle Sounders, and Kane in particular didn't do anything to hurt his stock as a very good right back prospect. I'm a little bit disappointed that Bamford didn't play in Seattle, especially since Roberto di Matteo ended up using Lucas Piazon as some sort of false nine after withdrawing Romelu Lukaku in the second half, but I'm sure the tour was a valuable experience for him nonetheless.
