Ashley Cole joins his teammates on the US tour

We saw Paulo Ferreira at left back during the first stop of our US tour, and as expected it wasn't the prettiest. There's good news, however, as we might not be looking at the same type of doomsday scenario when we next take the pitch on Sunday. Ashley Cole will be rejoining his Chelsea teammates in New York ahead of our clash with PSG. It hasn't been confirmed that he'll be participating this Sunday, but I'd guess that will mean we'll see him make at least a few appearances before we return to England.

Cole trained and signed autographs with his teammates today at CenturyLink, and mentioned that he'd be good to go if Roberto Di Matteo selects him for Sunday. I'd be surprised if he gets more than a half of action in that one though, as it will be his first game of the pre-season. Several other higher profile Chelsea players will likely be joining up with their club in the coming days, so by the MLS All Star game wee might actually see a reasonably regular looking Chelsea lineup. Welcome back Ashley, Paulo needs the rest.
