Report: Lens and Chelsea have reached an agreement over Thorgan Hazard

We heard some news about this yesterday, and today we've got French newspapers claiming they've been told by Lens that they've reached an agreement with Chelsea over the sale of Thorgan Hazard. There has been all sorts of news about Hazard today from a fake twitter account and a possibly fake facebook account, but the reported source in this article would certainly be one that would be in the know if it's in fact accurate:

Antoine Sibierski, Lensois sporting director, confirmed this morning by admitting that the various parties had reached an agreement. Racing leaders have also indicated that Lens had made a big deal financially, in relation to the number of games and the assumed value of the young element

The younger Hazard isn't the same level of prospect as his brother, but he's a very talented youngster none the less. He's featured regularly in the Belgian youth setup and has recently been making first team appearances for Lens. If he does join Chelsea, it would likely be as a U21 before possibly heading out for a bit on loan. He would certainly not be a first team player yet, although he's certainly got the talent to eventually reach that level.

I'm not entirely comfortable trusting this story, but at the same time it's interesting enough that it's worth noting. Lens are in serious financial need, Hazard is a valuable asset, and he's in the last year of his contract as well. All of these things would suggest a move is likely, so if Michael Emenalo is high on him I'd guess we're a legitimate possibility. Chalk this one up in the "wait and see" category.
