Another update to the almost-complete Hulk deal! The Guardian are reporting that an agreement with Porto has been reached, for £38M. They report that personal terms have yet to be agreed, but with the reports that Hulk was very keen to sign with the Blues floating around I can't imagine that those will take a long time to wrap up. In terms of reliability I'd give this rumour fairly high credence - we already knew the teams were very close, the fee is entirely plausible and it's coming from a reasonably trustworthy source.

Don't expect the astronomical figures that have been floating around - £145,000 per week is a ludicrous figure from a player coming from the Primeria Liga, more than £100,000 than was paid to Raul Meireles, David Luiz or Ramires upon their arrival in England, and although Hulk should get more than the aforementioned trio, I can't imagine it will be that much more.

With Eden Hazard (£32M) set to be announced on Saturday we could end up having a really fun weekend. I mean, it's kind of crazy in terms of cost vs. need, but at some point we've got to sit back and enjoy the fireworks, right?
