Gary Cahill Injury Update - Defender 'Felt Fine' During Training

Chelsea and England centre half Gary Cahill went through his first full training session today after sustaining a hamstring problem in the second leg of the Blues' Champions League semifinal win against Barcelona, and all signs point to him being available to start in Germany this Saturday.

It was my first full session with the boys today after my injury, so it was nice to get back out there and get running around and kicking a ball about.

There's some work to be done in two or three days now leading up to the game for me to get back into it. If I need to do a little bit of other training, I'll do that. But, touch wood, there's no reaction from today and I felt fine out there.

It's not quite the 'I will be fit' that Sky Sports are claiming, but it's fairly close - unless something flares up tonight it sounds like both centre backs will be ready to play against Bayern Munich. If so, the defensive line will feature Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Cahill and Jose Bosingwa, and while that's not exactly full strength it's a good bit better than using the Unibrowed one as a centre half against Mario Gomez, a prospect that leaves me wanting to throw up.

If both Cahill and David Luiz are in training tomorrow, we can feel very, very confident that they'll be fit for Saturday.
