Joey Barton takes to Twitter

I'm sure by now we've all seen it. Joey Barton lost his head like only Joey Barton can, in doing so he put his team in an awful position to be relegated (they were saved by a terrible no-call in the Stoke/Bolton game) and possibly helped send the title to the blue half of Manchester. On what was one of the most exciting days in Premier League history, Joey Barton will probably be one of the most talked about storylines of this day. So what did he have to say about it? From the horse's mouth (or should I compare him to one of these?)...

Can do nothing but apologise to the players and the fans. Still don't think its a sending off. Tried to take 1 of their players with me....

The head was never gone at any stage, once I'd been sent off, one of our players suggested I should try to take 1 of theirs with me...

What. An. Idiot. Nothing like bookending your season with controversy Joey. After flopping in the opener against Arsenal, Newcastle had enough of Barton to let him leave. He then finishes his season doing everything he can to ensure his new employer got themselves sent down a level. After the kick on Aguero after he'd already been sent off I'm sure even more discipline will be forthcoming. He clearly doesn't regret his behavior at all, so what do you guys think an appropriate suspension will be for this? If you were QPR, would Joey Barton still be on your squad come August?
