It looks like Sunday's match against Blackburn Rovers won't be totally pointless after all. Rumour's been flying around Twitter about a planned tribute to Didier Drogba in the 11th minute of our final home game of the season, and now the Daily Mail is talking about it. For some reason I'm taking that as confirmation that this will actually happen, which means I probably need to recalibrate my brain, but such is life.

Anyway, this is a fan-driven tribute to one of our greatest players playing the last league game of his current contract. It's a great gesture, in my opinion - Drogba surely knows how much we love him, but it's always nice to reaffirm that love and we have no way of knowing if he's coming back or not. Don't take this tribute as an indication of Drogba leaving, because it's not being driven by the club or the player, and they're the only ones who really know. Instead, join Chelsea fans around the world in dedicating the 11th minute of Sunday's match to a salute to the best striker we've ever had, whether or not he'll be with us beyond the 19th or not.
