We know we already bid on Brazilian sensation Lucas Moura in January, but it appears we've still got some interest in the player despite the sacking of AVB. That would make some sense, as I doubt Villas Boas did too much of the scouting on a player plying his trade in South America at the moment. The nineteen year old Sao Paulo player will be one of the hottest names in the rumor mill this summer, and his agent (Wagner Ribiero) has shared some insight as to who has been in contact thus far:
"I have to say that Inter, Chelsea and Manchester United have already been in contact with me about him, he has the perfect profile to play in Europe - he's a good player, very rapid and he knows how to shoot."
It's good to hear it confirmed again that Chelsea are interested in Moura. He's clearly going to attract the top clubs in Europe, and you'd have to assume that the two big clubs in Spain will probably focus their attention somewhere besides the central midfield/wing area this summer. Like Jordi Alba, this would be a move I'd fully support and will be crossing my fingers for it this summer. Just keep him away from United...
