Our FA Cup semifinal is coming up on Sunday, and there's some positive news from Chelsea's perspective. The Blues might be missing Branislav Ivanovic, who is suspended for punching a guy, but opponents Tottenham Hotspur are in slightly deeper trouble: Younes Kaboul is out. That leaves, in Cartilage Free Captain's words, Tottenham's two best centre backs out of action, and leaves them with a likely pairing of William Gallas and Ryan Nelsen at Wembley.
You never like to see people hurt, but this is good news for us - it's the Spurs equivalent of playing Ivanovic and Gary Cahill as a centre back pairing (i.e. not good). With Chelsea desperate for something good to come out of the season, a weakened Tottenham on Sunday would be very handy for our prospects of reaching a cup final. I'm not entirely sure how Roberto di Matteo will play this in terms of team selection - the Barcelona game is a big worry - but Spurs' problems do give us some breathing room
