Tuesday afternoon open thread

I'm sure many of y'all will be watching one of the three games on this afternoon*, so I thought it might be a good idea to give you an appropriate thread to talk about it. Here's what's up on tap for this afternoon...

  • Basel travels to Germany with a 1-0 lead on aggregate. The Manchester United slaying side will be in great shape if they find the net at all in Munich as they held Bayern scoreless in Switzerland. I really hate the away goal rule, although it could end up being huge for Chelsea tomorrow.
  • Marseille head to Milan leading 1-0 on aggregate. Inter are in the same spot as Bayern, trailing the tie and failing to have scored an away goal. Marseille are a much better squad than Basel on paper though, and Inter are probably not a match for Bayern talentwise. This one should be a very interesting affair.
  • Liverpool are hosting Everton in the Mercyside derby. This one means very little as far as Chelsea are concerned, as neither team is likely to push any of the top 5 teams in the league. Everton can move ahead of Liverpool in the table with a win, so expect a heated affair.

Discuss away, but keep the thread free of links to illegal streams and such. Have fun, it should be a great day to just sit back and enjoy the action without any really meaningful games for Chelsea (unless they advance tomorrow, and then I'm sure we'll all be pulling for Basel). Enjoy...

*And for anyone really interested, we have a pair of young keepers in action. Rhys Taylor and Sam Walker will both be in goal this afternoon for their respective clubs.
