The draw was just done for the Capital One Cup semifinal, and we now know who we'll be facing in the semifinals.

Immediately following Chelsea's victory over Leeds United on Wednesday, the draw was done for the for the Capital One Cup semifinal. Chelsea were in the hat along with Aston Villa, Bradford City, and Swansea City, and will be facing Swansea with a trip to Wembley on the line.

The semifinal is a two legged tie with one leg played at home for each of the participants. The first leg is tentatively scheduled to be played on January 6th, with the second leg set to be played January 21st. The times for the contests have not yet been determined, but we'll get them to you as soon as we know. We do know that Chelsea will be playing the first leg at home, and that Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel will likely be away at the African Cup of Nations for the second leg of the semifinal.

Drawing Swansea means we'll be facing the best team left in this tournament, but the tie being over two legs should be a factor in Chelsea's favor. Swansea pulling an upset on any given day would be very possible, but to extend that upset over two legs is a much more difficult feat. If they get to the final, it will be one of Bradford and Aston Villa.

Swansea advanced to the semifinals by defeating the Josh McEachran-less Middlesbrough 1-0 last Wednesday. Paul Lambert's Aston Villa side defeated Lambert's former team (Norwich City) 4-1, while Arsenal lost in penalties to League Two side Bradford City one day prior.
