Champions League & Election Showdown Tuesday / Open Thread

Today is Tuesday, November 6th. This is your open thread.

WAGNH has a strong no politics rule, so even though it's Election Tuesday here in the USA, please refrain from discussing all that jazz. To help you cope with this topic void, I've created a poll in which you can vote instead.

So, moving on from civic duty and back to the world of football, let's keep the open thread bonanza going. Plenty of Champions League showdowns happening across Europe this afternoon as the group stages head into the second half of their respective fixtures lists.

Arsenal & Manchester City will look to recover from their horrendous performances a fortnight ago and while the former probably has nothing to fear as far as qualification to the next round is concerned, the latter's hopes are hanging on by just a thread. City must win versus Ajax today and hope that either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund take a stumble or two at some point. Ex-superpower AC Milan will also look to salvage their campaign by taking on Group C leaders Malaga, while Porto and PSG will be hoping to lock down the top two spots in Group A.

Discuss. Oh, and go vote.
