Alistair Gordon, John Swift called up to England U18 squad

A pair of Chelsea youngsters have been called up to the U18 national side to face Italy October 24.

You don't often see the U18 age group used at the international level, but England and Italy will be playing a U18 match on October 24. A pair of Chelsea players will be in action for the friendly, with John Swift and Alistair Gordon both being named to the English squad. Swift has represented England at both the U16 and U17 levels, while Gordon has previously represented his country at the U16 level.

The full England U18 squad for the friendly is as follows:

Goalkeepers

Luke Coddington (Middlesbrough), George Willis (Sheffield United)

Defenders

Leo Chambers (West Ham United), Shay Facey (Manchester City), Alistair Gordon (Chelsea), Liam Grimshaw (Manchester United), Isaac Hayden (Arsenal), Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill (Arsenal), Luke Shaw (Southampton).

Midfielders

Conor Grant (Everton), Ben Pearson (Manchester United), John Swift (Chelsea), Luke Woodland (Bolton Wanderers)
