Amin Affane has been getting regular minutes with Eredivisie side Roda JC this season, and he was rewarded with another call-up to the Swedish U19 team for the international break. The Swedish FA was on that did not release their U19 rosters ahead of the international break, so I wasn't 100% sure of whether or not he would be included in the roster for their European qualifiers.

Affane started for the Swedish team today, so it does appear he has been included in the Swedish squad after all. He and his Swedish teammates defeated Wales by a 3-1 score, with fellow Chelsea youngster Chike Kandi failing to make the bench for the Welsh team.

The Welsh got up 1-0 early on behind a penalty eleven minutes in. It was all Sweden from there, though, as they'd find the back of the net twice in the first half, and a third time just three minutes after the restart. Affane would come off in the 73rd minute, after a strong showing in the game.

Sweden's U19 team still has a pair of fixtures over the break. They include:

  • October 12, 2012 vs. Russia
  • October 15, 2012 @ Slovenia
