Stop me if you've heard this before: Daniel Sturridge is out with a hamstring injury. Sturridge, who's been out of action for two weeks since an impressive (if very short) cameo during Chelsea's 0-0 draw at Loftus Road, has not travelled to Denmark for the Blues' midweek game against Norsejaelland. I seem to recall Roberto di Matteo 'hoping' that he'd be available for the Arsenal match, so this means that the problem is more serious that originally thought, which is pretty typical for us.
And that means that Chelsea are once again going into battle with one fully fit centre forward. Fernando Torres has started every match this season, and he's presumably going to start this one as well. If anything happens to him (and the more games he plays, the more likely he is to get hurt -- it's not like Torres is known for avoiding injury, either)... well, that would be sup-optimal. Much like the construction of this squad! Can we have Romelu Lukaku back please?
