It's that time of year where Twitter basically represents life and death. Hear a reliable Tweeter claim that sources in Brazil say that Chelsea are going back in on Lucas Moura? Celebration (especially if you're resident Lucas Moura fanatic Steve). Hear that there's 'no chance' of a Lucas Moura deal being finalised today? Sadness.
And it's option two that we're getting right now, from the always-excellent Snap Kaka Pop:
Lucas Moura's always been a bit of a pipe dream (although he's still a perfectly viable summer target, along with Eden Hazard), so it's not much of a surprise to see the rumours being shot down like this. At this point, I'd guess that Chelsea are more of less done - the club may pick up Patrick Bamford from Nottingham Forest, but that sounds like it's about the best we can expect from a relatively quiet transfer window.
Then again, it was almost exactly one year ago that we heard that the David Luiz deal was definitely dead, so bear in mind that things can change in a hurry on deadline day.
