Monday afternoon poll and discussion thread: How comfortable are you with our position in the table ahead of deadline day?

We've reached an interesting point in the transfer window. After surprisingly gaining ground on all of our closest rivals in the table this weekend (despite having a disappointing result ourselves) we now have no more league games until there are only 4 hours remaining in the window. We do have an FA Cup match in there as well, but I doubt that factors too much into our decision making in the transfer market. With that in mind, we now have 8 1/2 days to decide whether or not to add to the squad as we attempt to win the Champions League and make our push toward ensuring Champions League play next season.

We currently have a 5 point cushion on Newcastle and Arsenal and a 6 point cushion on Liverpool for 4th. We're 5 points behind Tottenham in 3rd. We've just added Gary Cahill and seen the return of Michael Essien. With only 16 games to play it's actually a fairly comfortable position for the club to be in despite the fact that we have tended to be far more comfortable at the end of January in recent years. That doesn't mean some additions would be a poor idea, but there is certainly every reason to believe that the current squad is quite capable of finishing 4th without any further tinkering.

We know for sure we're still looking hard at another attacker who can add depth and versatility to our attack. AVB has stated he prefers a player who's eligible for the CL, so that is a somewhat limiting factor. January buys tend to be expensive, so how would you feel if this was in fact the squad we decide to finish the season with? Please vote in the poll and feel free to leave your comments below.
