I don't have the primary source on to hand this one but Tuesday morning has brought in an interesting few tweets from James Horncastle regarding an interview in Gazzetto Dello Sport with Carlo Ancelotti. If you haven't been paying attention, the loveable former Blues boss has joined forced with Paris Saint-Germain recently, taking the helm of the cash-flushed club. Although the interview is, understandably, mostly about the Ligue 1 side and Ancelotti himself, that doesn't mean there aren't some hugely interesting Chelsea-related tidbits:

Ancelotti: "Names? Ok now I'll tell you what names the agents are offering on the mkt more or less officially: Tevez, Torres, Berbatov.. 1/2

The big name there, as far as Chelsea fans are concerned, is Fernando Torres. There's already been some rumblings about the possibility of the thus-far disappointing striker leaving the team this winter, but this is the closest we've gotten to any legitimate source telling us a move is a distinct possibility. Bear in mind that this is an agent talking to Carlo rather than the club looking to offload, but I've outlined the case for Chelsea selling Torrespreviously and despite the slight upturn in form I think that argument still holds.

Torres is, of course, already making a fortune at Stamford Bridge, but at this point in his career he's a mercenary and if PSG can increase his wages there's very little reason for him not to want to take advantage of that offer. Bear in mind that this doesn't mean that there's interest from PSG in acquiring Torres, but the Ligue 1 side have been a pretty obvious fit for the striker from the beginning, and while it would be shocking if Chelsea sold this window, it wouldn't exactly be insane.

I've long been nursing the idea of a Torres for Javier Pastore plus cash deal (nb: don't treat this as a rumour, although I'd like it to be), and it seems like the window's a little more open to that sort of idea than it had been int he past.

Oh, and I'm glad Carlo ended up at the Parc de Princes rather than White Hart Lane:

Ancelotti confirms his original intention was to take a year out + hope that either the Spurs or Arsenal job came available in the summer
