Yossi Benayoun's departure to Arsenal has been confirmed with the Israeli midfielder tweeting that he's set to join the Gunners:

With Meireles handing in a transfer request strongly implying Chelsea are, you know, doing something to acquire those midfielders they need, things aren't quite so stressful, although it is a little awkward that a midfielder has left and none have replaced him with mere minutes left to go before the transfer window shuts. Right now, it appears as though this is simply a season-long loan deal, although Benayoun hasn't say anything either way. We'll have more information when the clubs confirm the deal... but right now they're probably a little busy.
