If you were going to put a gun to my head force me to tell you my favoured loan destinations for Josh McEachran, should the 18-year-old leave Stamford Bridge*, my answers would probably a) Bolton because Owen Coyle is magical and b) Wigan Athletic, because I quite like the way their midfield works. Even if they don't have any strikers. McEachran would fit in well in Roberto Martinez's side, and he's good enough to start for the Latics already. It would have been pretty perfect had the young playmaker ended up at the DW.

*in which case you are crazy and weird.

However, it's not to be as according to Click Lancashire Chelsea have opted to turn down a loan deal offered by Wigan for their star prospect. This is rather in keeping with what Michael Emenalo said yesterday about Josh having earned himself a spot on the first team and what McEachran himself said in a previous interview - the club isn't letting him go out on loan until January. If the Blues don't want to loan McEachran out, I'm ok with that, but he absolutely has to get some playing time or else we're just going to be stunting his development. And that would be bad, because Josh is ace.
