Forget Eden Hazard, At Least For Now

Although Chelsea have secured Juan Mata in their quest to add some excellent young talent out wide, the right side is still in some question. Pre-season performances seem to imply that the no-longer-suspended Daniel Sturridge will get a shot, but that hasn't stopped Blues fans (along with everyone else on the planet) drooling over Lille's Eden Hazard.

There've been rumblings and rumours that the club would be getting involved with Hazard, 20, and Arsenal have also been heavily linked to the Belgian international. However, there was never much reason for Lille to sell their top player with a Champions League campaign to run, having already lost Gervinho, and now Hazard himself has confirmed that he won't be moving on this summer:

RTL sport has quoted Hazard telling Canal+ that he will definitely stay at Lille this season. (Basta) #afcless than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

I wouldn't be shocked, however, if Hazard gets shifted in the winter window, especially if Lille fail to advance from Group B (which also features Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor). Hazard's simply worth too much for Lille to keep hold of him for very much longer. So, if you have Hazard fever, put it on hold for a while. The hunt will pick up again in January or next summer.
