Some Potentially Good News Regarding Kevin De Bruyne

It's been a big day for Chelsea fans today. Chelsea won 3-1 in a game which saw the debuts of Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku, and Chelsea followed that up by announcing the signing of 20 year old Mexican Ulises Davila. Luckily for us, there appears to be a little more good news going on around these parts today. John Chapman is pretty much the foremost authority on Belgian football that I've found, and he had a few very noteworthy tweets today from that regard:

I don't think De Bruyne potential move to #cfc is impacted by CL draw.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Earlier tweet was response to question; I expect De Bruyne to move to #cfc and be loaned back. With clause not allowing to play vs Chelsea.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

While he doesn't mention anything specific here, Chapman has traditionally been very well informed. I can't actually remember him missing on anything involving footballers form the top clubs in Belgium, so I can only take this as very promising indeed. Michael Emenalo hasd clearly been putting his stamp on this team, and he's been a noted admirer of the young Belgian who we profiled here. With confirmation from De Bruyne himself that we've been negotiating for his services, I fully expect to hear confirmation from the club in the next several days that his signing has been completed. I'm absolutely loving the way things are going this transfer window...
