Chelsea To Face Fulham In 3rd Round Of League Cup

Chelsea have drawn Premier League neighbours Fulham in the third round of the League Cup, with the tie to be held at Stamford Bridge. It's one of four all-Premier League matches we'll get in the third round, which also includes Manchester United heading to Elland Road to face off against old friends Leeds.

It's not really an ideal result, going up aginst the Cottagers, because there are a few young players we could have done with putting on the first team and playing against a Premier League side in the third round means that Andre Villas-Boas might be somewhat less inclined to field a weaker squad. Hopefully Chelsea are planning on taking the Carling Cup seriously this year - it'd be nice to land another piece of silverware after missing out on everything last season.

Here's the draw in full:

Cardiff City vs. Leicester City
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Millwall
Chelsea vs. Fulham
Aldershot Town or Carlisle United vs. Rochdale
Arsenal vs. Shrewsbury Town
Burnley vs. MK Dons
Leeds United vs. Manchester United
Brighton vs. Liverpool
Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle United
Manchester City
vs. Birmingham City
Blackburn Rovers vs. Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers
Swindon Town or Southampton vs. Charlton or Preston North End
Everton vs. West Bromwich Albion
Crystal Palace or Wigan vs. Middlesbrough
Aston Villa vs. Bolton Wanderers
Stoke City
vs. Tottenham Hotspur
