[The rumours of Javier Pastore to Paris Saint-Germain are] not true, it's news invented. Tomorrow his agent [Marcelo] Simonian will be in London to meet Chelsea.

Well well well. Well well well! Ok, Zamparini is officially a crazy crazy man, but there's a method to his madness and even casting a cynical eye over this comment makes things look better for Chelsea. Whenever Zamparini has said anything specific about this deal, as far as we can tell it's been true (but immensely devious). Call me reading into things out of sheer desperation, but I don't see why he'd say something like that without, well, it being true.
So, on the one hand, we have half of the Twitterverse telling us that Javier Pastore is as good as gone to PSG. On the other hand, we have basic common sense telling us that players do not got to Ligue 1 when they can play for a top-four Premier League team, and we have an untrustworthy owner saying that everything is made up. I'm going with the 'nothing has actually happened' line on this one, I think. All of this nonsense appears to simply be a feeding frenzy sparked by L'Equipe making stuff up - without that agent meeting nothing can be final.
But then again, that's what I want to believe, so I might be prejudicing myself. This is very confusing.
