So, apparently the Javier Pastore situation did a bit of flipping out today. How interesting! Word around the internet now is that he will sign with Paris Saint-Germain within the next two or three days, which seem to be based entirely around the Leonardo quote we dug up earlier:

It's true, I have a good rapport with Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini and everyone would like a player like Pastore. We are working on possibilities and want to bring players who above all believe in our project. At the moment our priority is to sign a new goalkeeper, as we are missing someone in that role.

Now, as I pointed out before, this doesn't appear to be anything concrete. My impression of the situation is still that Palermo haven't decided which team to sell to, and Pastore himself hasn't decided which team to join either. There have been detailed rumours of him joining PSG, but there've also been rumours of him going with Chelsea, too, and I don't really have a good impression of what I should be trusting and what I shouldn't.

We do know that L'Equipe sourced Gazetta when Gazetta weren't saying anything new, and we also know that Zamparini is totally denying that any of this is true*. Other than that, we have very little in the way of new information. Sure, things might look ominous, and I guess we should probably brace ourselves for disappointment, but things are hardly set in stone right now.

*Which makes me think it might be true.
