2010-11, in review: And the readers' signing of the season is ...

He has the hair. The charisma. And, yeah, the game. Bob runs away with the voting for readers' signing of the season in what was hardly a surprising turn of events.

Readers’ signing of the season voting results (2010-11):
Total votes:
389
David Luiz 199 votes (51.16%)
Ramires 102 (26.22%)
Fernando Torres 45 (11.57%)
Daniel Sturridge (via Bolton) 43 (11.05%)

Luiz took home more than half the change in this category, which, with 389 total votes, proved to be our most popular of the week. That was, at least for me, a pretty interesting little stat. Ramires finished second in what was a two-horse race with 26 percent of the vote. Shame really, as I thought he would elicit more of a fanbase. But then again, you can't really compete with someone like a David Luiz. He's just so damn charming.

Bob scored potentially the season's most vital goal, in our thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in March. It served as catalyst for our blistering resurgence to close the term. His overall play was mostly outstanding, though there were certainly signs of a raw product. Some buffing around the rough edges over the next two seasons may well result in the formation of the world's finest defender. No joke.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I cannot wait to see what Bob brings to the table in 2011-12. Below is some lovely imagery of the kid in action over the past season. Do enjoy.
