Now this is interesting. Belgian teenager Romelu Lukaku, who was supposed to have announced a move sometime before today (whoops) has supposedly been caught writing down 'to play for Chelsea' when filling out a question and answer form for a young fan. So if that's the answer, what's the question?
Apparently, it was 'What is your dream?' Lukaku's affection for the Blues is an incredibly poorly-kept secret, and if true (the Mail are the ones reporting, after all), this is good news for Chelsea, as it shows that one of their top transfer targets is interested in coming to the club as well as reducing Anderlecht's bargaining power. If Lukaku isn't that interested in going to other teams, it'll be really hard for Chelsea to get sucked into a bidding war.
I really, really like Lukaku as a long-term replacement for Didier Drogba, and he'd make a fine first signing for whoever happens to be our new manager. The price tag is a little steep, but we'd be getting a monster if he does come over. Let's hope, but nothing is certain just yet.
