Some Chelsea vs. Manchester United team news courtesy of a Daily Mirror football journalist, who has tweeted that Didier Drogba will start at centre forward with Fernando Torres dropped to the bench for the cataclysmic battle between the sides at Old Trafford on Sunday. The tweet in question is after the jump...
Drogba starts tomorrow and Torres on bench. Right move by Ancelotti. Gives Chelsea best chance of win they need. They're confident
I totally understand why Carlo Ancelotti might do this - Chelsea have been playing extremely well with Drogba as the spearhead of a 4-3-3. There're some interesting possibilities with Torres leading the line and Drogba wide, but this probably isn't the time to go experimenting with that sort of thing. Let's not forget what happened after we tried to start Torres up front in a Christmas tree last time out at Old Trafford - the formation worked well but Torres still wasn't a fit..
What do you all think? Right decision? Wrong decision? Wait and see?
