There's been a lot of news about Guus Hiddink in the past few days, even before Carlo Ancelotti got the axe. The Dutch manager, currently in charge of Turkey, has revealed that he's been working with Chelsea in an advisory capacity even while on the Turkey job, making recommendations and providing opinions on players scouted by the team, and the Blues are apparently confident that they can bring him back into the fold now that Ancelotti is out, whether that be as a manager or a director of football.
Not so fast, though. According to his agent, Hiddink is going nowhere for a little while:
[Hiddink] is focusing on his job and he likes what he is doing. Once [Turkey's European Championships campaign] is finished, he will start thinking about his future.

Should Turkey fail to qualify for euro 2012, that means October. Should they qualify, that's next summer, which would obviously be a little too late for Chelsea to involve him in next season. This seems to rule him out of the running for Chelsea manager, but he could probably juggle a Director of Football job with his Turkey international duties (on an unofficial basis, of course).
