The good news is that Yossi Benayoun played 20 minutes for Israel yesterday, Alex has returned to full training with the squad, and it seems that our first teamers emerged unscathed from the international break.
The bad news is that one of our star players in the Youth Cup run, Billy Clifford, injured his knee in training yesterday. It will require an operation and he will be out for six weeks, which means he misses the rest of the season and the Youth Cup semifinal against the Mancs.
Completely gutted. Billy has really stepped up this season to become an important member of the youth team. He's played in defense but truly shone when given the opportunity to control play in midfield.
The FA Youth Cup resumes on April 10th at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United. The second leg will be at Old Trafford on April 20th.
