A chance for some revenge for Moscow?
Champions League Quarterfinal Draw:
Real Madrid v Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea v Manchester United
Barcelona v Shakhtar Donetsk
Inter v Schalke 04
So the draw has been made, and our European travels will take us not to Spain or perhaps Germany, but instead our at-least-twice-a-year route to North West England to face Manchester United. The first leg will be played at the Bridge and the second at Old Trafford.
Inter or Schalke 04 v Chelsea or Manchester United
Real Madrid or Tottenham v Barcelona or Shakhtar Donetsk
And so Jose Mourinho managed to completely avoid playing either of his former teams until possibly the final.
If we can overcome United, some might say we actually got an "easier" path to the final this year. But, of course, it's a matter of keeping our confidence up and playing well (and getting results) consistently. Torres getting off the mark and Drogba getting his scoring boots back would be helpful as well. Oh, and luck, which we seem to have none of in this competition. But bring on the Mancs!
Reactions? United wasn't a popular choice in the previous poll, so what are your thoughts now?
