Chelsea FC Transfer News: Jeffrey Bruma Loan Confirmed

Chelsea centre back Jeffrey Bruma's long-awaited loan to Leicester City has been confirmed today on the Chelsea website. Bruma, who at 19 years old is already a full Dutch international, will join up with clubmate and compatriot Patrick van Aanholt in the Foxes defence. Bruma remains a part of Chelsea's long term plans and this loan move should get him valuable experience in a team pushing for promotion in the Championship. With David Luiz secured and Alex coming close to his return from knee problems, Chelsea have some depth in the centre of the defence, and the team was better off allowing the young defender to get first-team action rather than remaining on the bench in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Conor Clifford is heading to Nottingham County on a loan deal of his own. The midfielder, 19, will be at the League one side for a little over a month as they look to bring in emergency reinforcements to help stave off relegation. Clifford's already played in the league this season, with financially troubled Plymouth Argyle, and was recalled as a result of that club's sad spiral towards monetary ruin.

Good luck to Jeffrey and Conor with their temporary new teams.
