There had been some worry that injured right back Jose Bosingwa would be unavailable to start against Manchester City for Chelsea's crunch match against the runaway league leaders on Monday. With David Luiz suspended and Alex exiled to Siberia demoted to the reserves, we were going to have a bit of a selection issue on our hands if Bosingwa's thigh problem had kept him out for that match. Fortunately, he's back in training and will be able to start:
Bosingwa is recovered and fit for Monday. David Luiz is suspended but Josh McEachran has trained with the team, and nothing else. I think to be fair again, our medical department has changed dramatically and training availability and match availability has improved tremendously. This is also down not only to the way we arrange our training but certainly the way the medical department has been able to deal with all of the issues and the changes we made to the department.

I'm trying to envision a scenario in which I explain to pre-season Graham that the health of Jose Bosingwa was vital to our chances of getting anything out of City at home, and all the imaginary conversations I have end up with the old version of me saying 'So what you're telling me, weird future Graham, is that we're kind of f***ed, right?'
