Chelsea's plan to supplement a cash deal with a player for Liverpool's Fernando Torres lays in tatters according to Sky Sports, as Nicolas Anelka is strongly against a move to Anfield.
It is already well established that Liverpool rejected an offer consisting of Daniel Sturridge plus cash for Torres, with Anelka being the man Liverpool wanted if Chelsea were to pull off a part exchange.
Instead it looks like the £50M valuation put on Fernando Torres' head by Liverpool will have to be met in full in a solely cash transfer that would smash the British transfer record.
