With Chelsea seemingly destined to add another center back before the end of the transfer window, playing opportunities for Jeffrey Bruma seem to be dwindling at Stamford Bridge this season. While he still seems to be in the club's long term plans, his lack of first team experience has definitely shown when he's had the opportunity to play. Like Gael Kakuta (who's rumored to be heading to Fulham), the ideal situation for both the club and Bruma may be to find a Premier League team where he'd get valuable playing experience this season and let him spend the next several months honing his craft.
With Sol Campbell and Steven Taylor currently down with injuries, Newcastle seem to be on the lookout for reinforcements at center back. There seems to be some buzz about interest in St. James Park in taking on Bruma. Chelsea would also likely pick up some of the young Dutch international's wages, making him even more attractive to Newcastle given their recent spending trends. If the next several days bring us either David Luiz or Simon Kjaer, don't be surprised to see Jeffrey Bruma heading out on loan for the remainder of the season.
