Scotty Sinclair spent five years at Chelsea. Well, five years in the very loosest of terms. Six loans later, the 21-year-old finds himself at Swansea City. Permanently.
He appears to have found himself a home. Sinclair bagged his first career hat trick on Tuesday, in Swansea's 3-1 win over Peterborough United in the third round of the Carling Cup. Well done.
I always enjoyed seeing Sinclair in the blue of Chelsea. He never quite translated his potential - enormous at one point - onto the field, though. A change of scenery was certainly necessary, and perhaps he has indeed finally found his level.
Brendan Rodgers, the former Chelsea youth team manager, is in charge there so, obviously, that might be a massive part of the quick transition. Either way, I do hope Scotty has turned the proverbial corner.
We at The CO wish him all the best.
