Congratulations are in order for Miroslav Stoch

Miroslav Stoch is a champion. Let's congratulate the young one.

Stoch scored the second of two goals this weekend in FC Twente's 2-0 win against NAC. The result secured Twente's first-ever Dutch Eredivisie championship. Kind of a big deal, eh?

The on-loan winger, 20, played a major role in Steve McClaren's reclamation project. He made 32 appearances this season, scoring 10 times and assisting on nine goals. He was hot early and cooled off a bit as the season progressed; nevertheless, this has been a fantastic learning experience for one of our young prospects.

It's on the World Cup for the Slovakian, where he'll have an even bigger stage in which to shine. As for next season, whether he returns to the Blues, is loaned back out, in England or elsewhere, or sold outright (would you be surprised?), Stoch is on the up. Well done.
