So this is Christmas. And what have you done?
No words.
I've always found this opening bar, from the great John Lennon's prophetic "Happy Christmas," to be equal parts engaging, depressing and downright pompous. Only Lennon would dare ask us such a question. On Christmas.
I digress, though that little observation does lead me to ask: What have you done?
I hope you have enjoyed time with family and friends. I hope you have made new acquaintances, both young and old. I hope you have received and given gifts, perhaps some to those less fortunate. Offered help to those in need in this time of togetherness.
Above all, I hope you are healthy and happy. I know I am.
It is you, the readers of this shit sandwich of a blog, that make me happy. You taking the time out of a busy day to read what I have to say. What I have to say? It truly humbles me more than you will ever know.
So I say thank you. And wish you all a wonderful, joyous, dessert-filled, disease-free Christmas.
One complete with a jolly ol' ass-whooping of the Arsenal on Monday. Ho ho ho.
