Chelsea Injury News and Probable Lineup vs. Wolves.

Guess who's back?
Guess who's back?

The official site has some tidbits from Carlo Ancelotti regarding who's fit, who's not, and who'll start against Wolverhampton. Let's go with the bad news before the good:

Brazilian defender Alex will not be fit, having failed to recover from a muscle tear in his thigh. Nor will compatriot Ramires feature - he picked up a knock against Aston Villa in the late states of our 0-0 draw at Villa Park, and is yet to resume full training with the team. Yossi Benayoun is of course a long-term injury, out with an Achilles tendon tear, and midfielder Frank Lampard is still not fit (although a return to training is apparently forthcoming).

In happier news, Didier Drogba has recovered from the virus that had kept him out of action for last weekend's Premier League match as well as Tuesday's Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow. Drogba's health is a huge boost for the squad, and should result in Nicolas Anelka being shifted back to the right wing. He'll be supported there by right back Jose Bosingwa, who is starting a Premier League for the first time in more than a year. Bosingwa's ability to provide some natural width on that flank should help to re-balance Chelsea's attack, which had looked increasingly focused towards the left thanks to the influence of Ashley Cole and Florent Malouda.

With all of that information, we can make a fairly educated guess as to our probable starting lineup for tomorrow:

Chelsea (4-3-3): Petr Cech - Ashley Cole, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Jose Bosingwa - John Obi Mikel, Yuri Zhirkov, Michael Essien - Florent Malouda, Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka.

That should do nicely.
